The Good Samaritan Clinic is an interdenominational Christian ministry that respects and promotes the dignity of all human life. The Clinic provides free primary health and dental care, information, and referral for low income persons who are medically uninsured. The care is provided by a wide range of volunteers, including medical professionals.
Good Samaritan Clinic serves the following West Alabama counties with no other options for free care: Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa. Of the 303,000 residents in these counties,66,000 live at or below the Federal Poverty Level and over 33,000 have no health insurance. The Clinic is the only source of free health and dental care in West Alabama and does not discriminate based on race, creed, gender, religious affiliation, or other criteria. We believe everyone deserves basic healthcare regardless of financial restrictions.
